The myth
In Jewish tradition, the Ziz is the giant bird, king of all birds. Its feet touch the bottom of the sea while its head touches the sky, and its outspread wings hide the sun.
In the Arena
When its crystal awakens, its shadow covers five tiles at once. Ziz carries the warrior across the colours, from edge to edge, as far as its shadow reaches. It is Amarok's celestial brother: one runs on a single colour, the other crosses them all, and only Gaia can do both.
