The myth
Before he was Rabelais's hero, Gargantua was the giant of French folklore. Peasants credited him with the menhirs and the great lone boulders in their fields: pebbles fallen from his clogs, or quoits he had thrown at play.
In the Arena
In the Arena, Gargantua is still playing. The warrior moves according to his ability, then the giant drops one of his quoits on a tile. The impact shakes the six tiles around it, and every enemy standing there stays rooted to the spot, stunned, for a whole turn. By the time they get up, the quoit is gone.
In play
The warrior moves according to his ability, then places 1 magic token that immobilizes up to 6 enemies adjacent to the chosen tile for one turn.
