The myth
The tablets of Mesopotamia tell of Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, two-thirds god, who wrestled Enkidu the wild man for a whole night before making him his brother. He then sought immortality at the end of the world and came back empty-handed.
In the Arena
Of that whole epic, his small crystal kept only the wrestling. Gilgamesh neither shoots nor throws: his warrior takes a step and seizes the enemy beside him, body to body. One opponent at a time, for Gilgamesh's struggle is a duel, never a brawl.
