Shaka
Zulu · Magic · Rank 1 · Arcane Shield
The myth
Shaka kaSenzangakhona made the Zulus a nation of warriors. He is credited with the short spear that never leaves the hand and the great oxhide shield, as tall as a man, behind which one advances without ever falling back.
In the Arena
His small crystal kept only the shield. The spirit has the warrior take a step, then raises a wall of hide and light before him. For the whole enemy turn, neither blade nor arrow gets through. The Guardians, who also carry a shield, say Shaka is the only spirit who understands them.
In play
The warrior moves 1 free tile and is protected during the enemy turn.
